An extensive domestic program fits into a relatively small plot facing the Pacific Ocean. A compact volume atop a basement of services blends into the natural topography, with the need to rely on a garden and the will to take maximum advantage of the coastal views. This compact volume's interior directly accesses the yard, which allows for natural light to circulate vertically throughout. The house protects itself from the lateral street creating intimate domestic spaces while simultaneously allowing the view of the ocean to predominate.
