EXHIBITION AT ORIS HOUSE OF ARCHITECTURE

“Friends For Oris” exhibition opened in June showing drawings and models from all over the world, in Zagreb, Croatia. Barclay & Crousse showed drawings for the Place of Remembrance and Edificio E of the University of Piura. Yale University’s Faculty of Architecture opened an exhibition asking us, among other architects, to imagine and design our own burial place. The Domus Magazine, in its number 1044, has selected this year’s 50  best young architecture practices whose work is driven by sustainable principles and whose buildings have had a deep positive impact on the enviromnent they are set. A scientific comitee guided by Vittorio Magnano Lampugnani, was integrated by Luis Fernandez Galiano (Arquitectura Viva), Sarah Whiting (Dean at Harvard GSD), Rahul Mehrotra (Chair of the UPD department at Harvard GSD) and Lesley Lokko (Dean of the Spitzer School of Architecture at the City College of New York). Sandra Barclay has been included in the one hundred Latin American women that have been renowned in their own fields. The two-phased competition has Ignacio Borrego (Spain) and Barclay & Crousse as shortlisted projects, the jury being lead by Rick Joy. Our proposal, developed with our partners of XUD Arquitectura, focuses on the creation of a research center for water management in the era of global warming, coupled with accommodations for hosts.
