BARCLAY & CROUSSE EN LA 16 MOSTRA DI ARCHITETTURA DE LA BIENAL DE VENECIA

El aulario de la Universidad de Piura fue elegido por las curadoras Yvonne Farrell y Shelley McNamara junto con otros 70 proyectos para representar Freespace en la Muestra Central de la Bienal. La instalación se enfoca en mostrar la luz en el tiempo, dos elementos claves del "espacio libre": los encofrados de las celosías del edificio piurano filtran la luz veneciana que entra por una ventana de las Corderías, mientras que un video firmado por Cristóbal Palma muestra la luz piurana que recorre el aulario durante todo un día, el cual es proyectado directamente sobre el muro veneciano del Arsenal.

BARCLAY & CROUSSE AT THE 16th INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE EXHIBITION IN THE VENICE BIENNALE

The Lecture Building for the Universidad de Piura was chosen by the curators Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara among 70 projects that represent Freespace at the Biennale. The installation focuses on showing the light in time as two of the key elements of Freespace: the formwork that was used for the louver panels in the Piura building filter the venetian light that gets through a window at the Corderie, while a video by Cristobal Palma shows the light of Piura crossing the Lecture building through a whole day. The video is projected directly on the Venetian walls.
