Jean Pierre Crousse dará la primera conferencia anual conmemorando a Charles Correa en Goa, India, ciudad natal del renombrado arquitecto.  El evento será del 1º al 3 de setiembre, y es organizado por la fundación Charles Correa, en el cual participarán también arquitectos venidos de los cinco continentes, como Rahul Mehrotra, Camilo Rebello, Ilze Wolff, Yung Ho Chang y Dick van Gameren.  Ver más aquí.

Jean Pierre Crousse to give the first Charles Correa Memorial Lecture at Goa, India, birthplace of the renown architect.  Organized by the Charles Correa Foundation, the Z-Axis Conference will be held from september 1st to 3rd, and will include architects from the five continents, as Rahul Mehrotra, Camilo Rebello, Ilze Wolff, Yung Hola Chang and Dick van Gameren. CONCURSO MALI

Sandra Barclay y Jean Pierre Crousse participaron en el concurso del Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI) asociados con Angelo Bucci (SPBR) y los ingenieros suizos Pedrazzini-Guidotti.  La propuesta plantea múltiples entradas a la nueva ala, privilegiando la relación de los usuarios de la futura línea 2 del metro y del parque con el arte contemporáneo, a través de un gran patio exterior protegido que sirve de espacio de exposición para esculturas de gran escala. El proyecto propone un mínimo impacto volumétrico en el parque, poniendo en relieve el edificio histórico que alberga actualmente al museo.

MALI COMPETITION

Sandra Barclay and Jean Pierre Crousse participated in the Lima Art Museum (MALI) competition, in partnership with Angelo Bucci (SPBR) and the swiss engineers Pedrazzini-Guidotti.  The proposal features multiple access to the new wing, including the future metro station, to bring people in contact with contemporary art through a protected patio that can receive big-scale sculptures. The project proposes a simple plinth with no volumes emerging as a gesture of respect towards the existing historical building that hosts the present collection.

NUEVO RECONOCIMIENTO PARA "OUR AMAZON FRONTLINE"

El pabellón peruano en la 15a Muestra de Arquitectura de la Bienal de Venecia obtuvo la mención del premio Leona Violeta, otorgado por el jurado de Un Día | Una Arquitecta.  El jurado evaluó las 59 delegaciones nacionales participantes y se nominaron 10 pabellones comisariatos o curados por mujeres como candidatos al premio.  El primer premio fue compartido por Grecia y México.  Más información aquí

NEW RECOGNITION FOR "OUR AMAZON FRONTLINE"

The Peruvian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale obtained a mention at the Leona Violeta prize, given by the jury of Un Día | Una Arquitecta, from Argentina.  The jury nominated 10 pavilions curated by women as candidates for the prize. The first prize went ex-equo to the Greek and Mexican pavilions.  More information here

MENCIÓN ESPECIAL EN VENECIA

Un día después de la inauguración del pabellón del Perú, el jurado de la 15a. Bienal de Venecia otorgó a "Nuestro Frente Amazónico" la Mención Especial del Jurado, detrás del León de Oro otorgado al pabellón de España.  Más información en archdaily, en Le Courier de l'Architecte y en El Comercio.

SPECIAL MENTION IN VENICE

A day after the opening of the Peruvian Pavilion, "Our Amazon Frontline" received a Special Mention of the Jury for the National Participation category in the 15th Venice Biennale, just behind the Golden Lion given to the Spanish Pavilion.  More information in archdaily, the Venice Insider and Archinect.

OUR AMAZON FRONTLINE

El proyecto del Pabellón Peruano en la Bienal de Venecia fue entregado para su montaje, mientras las primeras escuelas del Plan Selva, proyecto del Ministerio de Educación del Perú, abren sus puertas a las comunidades indígenas.  Ver más aquí.

he project for the Peruvian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale is ready for construction, as the first schools of the Plan Selva, the Peruvian Ministry of Education's educational plan that is going to be exhibited, are delivered to the native communities.  See more here.

The Plan Selva design Team is leaded by Architect Elizabeth Añaños, followed by 10 young architects and one industrial designer at the Ministry of Education.

LANDSCAPE AS URBANISM IN CHILE

Crousse participó como panelista en el evento organizado por el Graduate School of Design de la Universidad de Harvard, realizado el 18 de marzo en el campus Lo Contador de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Crousse participated as lecturer in the GSD-Harvard event at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, on march 18th.

FEBRUARY / FEBRERO 2016

El edificio de Aulas de la Universidad de Piura, proyecto de Barclay & Crousse, será inaugurado el mes de marzo 2016.  El conjunto está pensado como una ciudadela de aulas bajo una gran sombra, creando amplios espacios exteriores para el aprendizaje y encuentros informales en un clima muy cálido.

The Facility building at the Piura University, designed by Barclay & Crousse, will be opened to students on march 2016.  The complex of classrooms, auditoriums and academic offices are grouped around shaded open spaces, allowing for informal learning and gathering in a hot climate.

Sandra Barclay y Jean Pierre Crousse han sido seleccionados curadores del Pabellón Peruano en la 15a Muestra de Arquitectura en la Bienal de Venecia.  La selección se hizo por concurso a nivel nacional, siendo elegido el tema "Nuestro Frente Amazónico", presentado por Barclay & Crousse. Sandra Barclay and Jean Pierre Crousse are designated curators of the Peruvian Pavilion at the 15 Mostra di Architettura at the Venice Biennale.  The scheme named "Our Amazon Frontline" was selected after a national competition.  See more here

El Lugar de la Memoria abrió definitivamente sus puertas el 18 de diciembre.  El edificio, con la museografía completada, fue inaugurado por el Presidente del Perú. Ver más aquí

After partial opening, the Place for Remembrance opened definitely on December 18th.  The building and its exhibition spaces were inaugurated by Peruvian President Ollanta Humala.  See more here

EDIFICIO BEEHIVE EN OBRA

El edificio de oficinas Beehive, en Lince (Lima) ha sido diseñado junto con el jóven estudio de arquitectura UAStudio.  Cuenta con un exoesqueleto en hormigón con geometría variable, y 15 plantas.  Será terminado a fines de este año.

BEEHIVE BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION

The Beehive office building, located in Lince (Lima) is designed in partnership with UAStudio. It has fifteen floors and has an exterior concrete structure with variable geometry.  It will be delivered by the end of this year.

Secrets de Fabriques, book edited by Elisabeth Essaïn and Marc Dilet, contains the chapter 'La Matière du Projet', written by Jean-Pierre Crousse, resuming his intervention in the multidisciplinary conference cycle at the Paris-La Seine School of Architecture in 2014.

PREMIO HEXÁGONO DE ORO

El Lugar de la Memoria ha sido acreedor del Hexágono de Oro, máximo galardón de la arquitectura peruana, en la XVI Bienal de Arquitectura del Perú, que tuvo lugar en Huancayo, del 27 al 29 de noviembre.

HEXAGONO DE ORO PRIZE

The Place of Memory wins the highest peruvian architecture Price, the Golden Hexagon.  The price was granted at the 16th Peruvian Architecture Biennale, which took place in November 27-29th in the city of Huancayo.
