Jean Pierre Crousse participated in the ninth edition of the Santa Cruz International Biennial of Architecture, Bolivia, closing the cycle of conferences on March 22. The biennial had Lima as guest city with an exhibition curated by Rudolph Giese and Francis Espino. More info here

IN:SITU 2024

Sandra Barclay and Jean Pierre Crousse participated in the biannual IN:SITU event, organized by the New Zealand Institute of Architects. Junya Ishigami, Jeanne Gang and Kai-Uwe Bergmann of BIG also participated in this session. VIAJE A INDIA

Incluso visitándola por tercera vez, India no deja de sorprender y ser una fuente de aprendizaje. Sandra y Jean Pierre se encontraron en el viaje con Daniel Bonilla y Marcela Albornoz de Colombia, conocieron a arquitectos talentosos como Uday Andhare de Indigo Architects y Tarun Singh Bhatia de Studio Mohenjodaro, se reencontraron con Gurjit Matharoo y mostraron su obra en el Sangath Conference Hall, organizado por Kushnu Hoof de los archivos Balkrishna Doshi. El viaje culminó disfrutando de la hospitalidad de la maravillosa artista Monika Correa.

TRIP TO INDIA

Even visiting for the third time, India never ceases to surprise and be a source of learning. Sandra and Jean Pierre met on the trip with Daniel Bonilla and Marcela Albornoz from Colombia, met talented architects such as Uday Andhare of Indigo Architects and Tarun Singh Bhatia of Studio Mohenjodaro, met again with Gurjit Matharoo and showed their work at the Sangath Conference Hall, organized by Kushnu Hoof of the Balkrishna Doshi archives. The trip culminated in enjoying the hospitality of the incredible artist Monika Correa.

El taller “Weaving Memories” conducido por Sandra Barclay, Jean Pierre Crousse y Can Vu Bui tuvo como lugar de estudio la ciudad de Palazzolo Acreide, en Sicilia. El jurado estuvo constituido por Fabrizio Foti, John Tuomey, Billie Tsien, Beka Sturges, Alan Organschi, Andrew Benner, sunil Bald y Azadeh Rashidi, quienes evaluaron los proyectos del taller el 7 de diciembre.

YALE FINAL REVIEWS

The “Weaving Memories” advanced studio, lead by Sandra Barclay, Jean Pierre Crousse and Can Vu Bui, in Palazzolo Acreide, Sicily, had its final reviews on December 7. Fabrizio Foti, John Tuomey, Billie Tsien, Beka Sturges, Alan Organschi, Andrew Benner, Sunil Bald and Azadeh Rashidi were part of the jury.

Celebrando la amistad, un grupo de arquitectos latinoamericanos decidimos hacer el recorrido por tierra desde Lima a Piura, visitando sitios memorables como Caral, Chankillo, Chan-Chan, Ventarrón y la reserva natural de Punta Illescas, terminando en Piura, donde nos reunimos con profesores y alumnos de la UdeP en el Edificio E. PUCP publicly announced the results on September 17th. The new Performing Arts School project will have 10,000 sqm. in two construction phases. The execution plans will be developed through 2023, and construction kickoff is due the following year. More info here

BARCLAY & CROUSSE CURADORES DEL MÓDULO PERÚ EN LA ESCOLA DA CIDADE

El módulo de posgrado sobre geografía, ciudad y arquitectura de la Escola da Cidade será curado por Sandra y Jean Pierre y dirigido por Alvaro Puntoni y Fernando Viegas. El tema a estudiar estará ligado al patrimonio, la vulnerabilidad y las infraestructuras, teniendo como lugar de estudio el pueblo de Aguas Calientes, punto de arribo del ferrocarril para la visita de Machu Picchu. El proyecto será lanzado de manera presencial el 15 de agosto, en Sao Paulo.

BARCLAY & CROUSSE CURATORS OF GRADUATE STUDIO ABOUT PERU AT ESCOLA DA CIDADE

The Geography, City, and Architecture graduate program at the Brazilian school of architecture invited Sandra and Jean Pierre will curate the guests of the studio led by Alvaro Puntoni and Fernando Viegas. The research will consider topics such as heritage, vulnerability, and infrastructures, and will focus on Aguas Calientes, the town where Machu Picchu trains arrive before climbing to the Inca citadel. The studio starts on August 15 with a lecture by the curators.
